Terms of Service
Terms for website use, initial assessments, and written engagements
1. Service identity
GDE Investigative Analysis is an independent investigative consulting service and is not affiliated with Latham & Watkins LLP.
2. Nature and scope
Services may include review of client-provided records, public blockchain transaction analysis, evidence organization, and investigative reporting. Paid work requires a written scope, deliverables, and exclusions.
3. No legal representation
This website does not offer legal services and contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. Legal services must be provided separately by an appropriately licensed professional.
4. No guarantee of outcome
We do not guarantee that assets will be identified, frozen, returned, or recovered, or that banks, exchanges, courts, regulators, or law-enforcement agencies will act.
5. Client responsibilities
You must provide information lawfully, accurately, and in good faith. Do not send passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or one-time codes.
6. Fees and billing
The initial scope assessment is offered without charge. Paid work begins only after scope, fees, payment timing, deliverables, and material expenses are disclosed and accepted in writing.
7. Cancellation and refunds
Cancellation and refund terms appear in the written engagement. Unless it states otherwise, fees for completed work and approved third-party costs are not refundable; unused prepaid fees are returned after final accounting where required.
8. Third-party services
Banks, exchanges, messaging platforms, technical providers, and referred professionals operate independently under their own terms.
9. Applicable law
Applicable law, dispute procedure, and jurisdiction-specific consumer rights for paid work will be identified in the written engagement.
10. Changes and contact
Updated terms apply prospectively from the date shown below. Questions may be submitted through the Contact page.
